Bernie playing chess while everyone else plays checkers. He won’t give up the XF brand for the club, but rebranding this event makes a lot of sense. People will flock to it, colleges want to see nw players, and merchandise will sell at 10x the amount of something that says “crossfire”. Any money he gives surf for this, he will make up 3-4 fold. I don’t have a dog in the fight, but this is fantastic.

This means Titans/Surf can't have its own surf branded tournament (not that anyone but old titans teams went anyways). Not sure what Adam is paying for at this stage anymore. He may want to inquire about licencing the Liverpool name locally as I have a feeling it going to be on the market soon and the surf families all have Liverpool kit already.

Losing. This is a direct response to "if you cant beat them, join them". With the other ECNL clubs pulling out, XF was losing.

Further, this is a drastic step in a different direction. Bernie is looking to retire, and will sell the XF brand to Surf. He is taking a page out of Adam Nowland's book.

This isn't awful news for XF. But dont kid yourself. XF eill be Surf in 2 years time.

wrong. They have a 2 of their own plus they will send all of their elite teams to the crossfire one. Obviously the crossfire one is much bigger but it will great for amplifying the surf brand.
