    What's going on at Valor?

I heard a completely unsubstantiated rumor about problems at Valor so thought something would be here...crickets...hmmm

I believe lots of players are leaving due to Valor not having ECNL

They’ve been promising ECNL since the start and now it’s becoming apparent that they can’t even get DPL or EA so families are leaving.

Agree on the ECNL piece but I don’t think they’ve been trying to get DPL or EA. What local teams are DPL/EA?

Liverpool, Surf, and Celtic are all EA. Valor would do good against that group, why bother with ecnl and get clobbered by XF 10-0.

A couple of the Valor teams competed fine against most ECNL teams but it’s not enough. Have to have all age groups with a competitive team in order for it to make sense. Have played those teams mentioned as EA in tourneys and found them underwhelming. Not sure played any DPL.

Maybe they can beat snohomish but that’s about it. Valor would be a bottom dweller in ecnl. Don’t fool yourself.

Its only a matter of time. Maple Valley and surrounding areas have tons of kids and continues to grow. Tahoma HS is one of the top soccer HS's in the region.

Would hurt PacNW, but dont kid yourself, if Valor was given ECNL, their teams would be good.

it will never happen. An ECNL team in the area would cut into PacNW & Eastside FC territory.

They would need to merge to have a shot.

PacNW and Eastside wouldnt have a say in it.

Eastside would be fine, its PacNW that would be significantly hurt.

Agree- people are thinkkng about the competition side- a player or two that might choose valor over eastside or pacnw. Really its the economic side that is the issue. EFC will be fine. They are pulli n from some of the wealthiest areas in the NW, fulsh with families. But for PacNW, the socio- economic factors are going to be tough to deal with financially. Just look at FWFC.

What about Elite 64 league. Doesn't Valor have that?

Remember, to get in to the Elite 64 league you have to win the Northwest Conference and you have to earn your ticket into the NW conference every year. The national League is the only true promotion relegation league across the US. It's not like the ECNL where the same stinky bottom 4 clubs field week sides with no threat of getting kicked out year after year after year.

They got the Elite 64 after SU and WPFC dropped out because they realized it was crap
