My guess is bandwidth! Turns out it takes a lot more time to officially register players than it does to crop tryout photos for FB. It has been fun to watch the fb posting wars though!

Their EA tryouts have concluded. If they add another tryout date then they're not filling their rosters.

Surf “Elite” is a joke this year… nothing elite about it, especially when players are eligible to play in ECNL… the good ones all look to leave the WPL. Surf uses “Elite” and offers everyone a spot, because they can charge more… it’s a money grab. And now with Marlon fired as CEO, everything is in complete disarray at Surf, including the “Elite” program. They tried to keep the firing and lifetime ban under wraps until after tryouts because they were afraid it would scare away their main revenue source. Just because you paint the apple red, doesn’t stop the rotting at the core.

EA tryouts were full, many kids didn’t make it.

I saw a lot of good players there for the 2012s and 2011s, definitely ecnl quality. Don’t be such a hater they are just kids who want to play.

Marlon has not been fired nor banned. You are a jack*** with all your nonsense.

The Surf Elite tryouts were weird ones. Eddie and co offered Elite A spots to all existing Surf Elite players and the LFCIA players coming over after the first day. They care more about their ongoing war with Rory than the quality of the players.

It is true. For B12, all existing Surf players and at least 2 LFCIA EA players attended the tryout for the first day received Elite A offers that evening.

Yes. For B14 also. I would guess B13 too.

I’ve seen plenty of clubs offer spots after night 1 to players that they either know or play very well. They want to lock them in right away to focus on the fringe players on day 2 and obviously so they don’t attend any other tryouts.

I understand that which does make sense. However, in Surf’s case, they just want to make sure their existing players not joining Calyx and Rory’s existing EA players coming to Surf. It’s a stupid war.
