    Celtic EA

We're considering Celtic EA for B10. Have any of their boys EA teams ever beaten an ECNL team from Seattle United, Crossfire or EFC? How to compare?

For such a large club I notice no one talks about them here much.

The best chances of finding this information for oneself is to look at last summer's results for Crossfire Challenge and Rainier Challenge.

They may have beaten Eastside a few years ago but never would they have beaten the other two. No one locally has beaten the other two for the last 4-5 years.

Go to United, Jimmy will never allow Celtics into rcl or ecnl.

Acting like RCL is even still a factor in a discussion any longer lul. It’s legit a D league at this point.

Yes Celtic 08 has beaten everyone except XF. The trick is that any of those ecnl programs will claim it doesn’t count as it was a friendly or an irrelevant tournament. What ever makes their story better

^^this alone should tell you something. Probably no drama and no dysfunction. Likely a good club & environment.

The Celtic B10 team cannot compete with the top ECNL teams but they are probably on par with the lowest ECNL teams. There is overlap between ECNL and EA, although that spread probably gets bigger with age. If you kid just wants to have fun Celtic is a good choice. But if college recruitment is goal then go ECNL if the kid can be a starter or at least have potential. A benched ECNL player will never get scouted.

Thanks all. Will definitely check out Celtic and Seattle United then.

                    Recently? Or at u9.

No one has beaten SU or XF in years locally. The best Celtic kids end up at SU (including that age group).

Yeah check both clubs, tryouts season is coming up but try to get in some practices with the teams before tryouts.

Celtic will never get into the ECNL. Nothing to do with Jimmy there’s already way too many ECNL clubs in Seattle. I would think they may get rid of a few clubs.

If your goal is a higher level of play even making Seattle United’s B team would be more beneficial. A chance to move through the ranks, especially when half the ECNL team goes sounders. There is no progression with Celtic’s EA, no actual college recruitment etc.
