Are there any differences between the divisions in the North Puget Sound League within a specific age group? If there is a division 1, 2, 3 and 4, does the lower the division number equal higher competition levels? Meaning, if the best U11 division 1 team played the best U11 division 4 team, should the division 1 team beat the division 4 team (at least on paper)?

Yes, that is how it’s intended. Teams and directors self select their division with a little discussion with other clubs. You sometimes have over confident coaches wanting a challenge and some that want to have a chance to win a division making for a mismatched division.

NPSL division 1 teams are generally very good - they can beat premier B teams (in tournaments) and hold their own even against the A teams. Crossfire/NSC/SeattleUnited occupy each of the divisions so there's also a lot of flexibility for where your kid can land
