Yes! Definitely agree with this. WPFC used to be an amazing club, and they had great coaches that were EXPERIENCED. Now they go for young coaches that are friends with Skinner and are awful. The older coaches were so good but they have since been overlooked/pushed aside for these younger guys with something to prove but are failing. And they pushed out most of the female coaching staff. U12 and younger: whichever is closest (as long as your kid is happy; go elsewhere if your kid isn't happy)
U13 and older: whichever is closest that your kid is happy (unless your kid is always one of the best kids on the field, in which case go with the closest ECNL or GA team).Comment

They need a full clean out top to bottom. The experienced coaches that are left are mostly Skinner-level trash left over from the Kitsap Pumas days. Unfortunately, WP is so close to where we live but I think we are finally willing to drive further to get our kid out of this toxic environment. I never thought I would pay thousands to have my kid doubt herself and her abilities because her coach doesn’t know how to coach. I’m not one of those parents that think my kid is the best of the best; she is on a B team at WP and that’s where she should be. However, we have a coach that would rather tell the team that they aren’t angry enough after a loss and should storm off the field and cry and throw things rather then tweak his coaching style and maybe try to figure out how to utilize the players he has.
