Who is Derek Sharpe from XF? And why was his behavior so poor today at the proliance tournament? He coaches tiny ones and he was verbally abusing the child ref. It’s proliance not the World Cup. How embarrassing for him and the club. These are the type of coaches that shouldn’t be around children. He should be ashamed of himself.

This is why XF is better than anyone else. They treat jamborees like a World Cup. Young players on the team will get the message right away. -

I’ve seen this too many times at the summer tournaments. Heard a XF coach call his player an idiot one year during a game. The opposing coach was on the teenage referee for near enough the duration of the game, pressuring him for calls throughout the game. After several requests to the referee to stop allowing the opposing coach to make calls for him, yes, the coach (Derek Sharp) lost his cool and criticized the ref. To his credit, Derek met with the referee (teenager/XF boys player) and his parents, offering an apology for losing his cool and the criticism, as well as some constructive feedback on how to prevent overly bias calls in games as a referee. Both the player and his parents accepted the apology and were supportive of the conversation.
