We left last year after a train wreck of a season for the crossfire select B team. The strength of the teams and the quality of coaches (at least the a and b coaches my son has trained with) at Crossfire is night and day compared to the Titans offering.

We found out when we got to XF select that the coaching director at Titans that all the junior titans coaches take their direction from got all his coaching experience from 1 year of coaching a B team at Crossfire Select. I guess that says it all. The other corruption at the Titans is they won't publish the resumes of their coaches as they know no one would pay $3000 for yearlong i9 camp :(

well, at least Titans have she Shouting Sam.

He’s got to have some experience if he can shout at seven and eight-year-olds.

Then they merged with Rush because Titans are getting good enough to make the drive to Preston not worth it, if you're not on ECNL. Posters above are probably butt hurt coaches from XF and Eastside that are pissed because the kids aren't leaving Titans to go to those clubs as much anymore (as posted above). My kid will be staying with them, great coach, great environment, and I don't have to deal with you Eastside, XF, and "Liverpool Academy" asshats who live vicariously through your kid and feel the need to come on here and talk trash about coaches, programs, and players (face palm). Come join us if your tired of the drama, the grass is greener.
Please point out a Titans team at any age that the top teams at XF and Eastside are "worried about".

Titans should borrow Snohomish ECNL shield and show everyone who’s boss.

Dude, I just went on Indeed and for the Titans open coaching jobs there is no coaching experience necessary to be a Titans coach (you can't make this stuff up)!!!

"Reliable coaches that are organized and punctual
Ability to run on-field sessions without supervision for groups of 6-12 players
Excellent communication skills via email and phone
Energetic coaches that will get the best out of Titans FC players"

You just have to know how to answer emails and set a reminder so you don't miss practice. Don't even rec clubs require you to have assistant coach experience before you get to coach?

Eastside FC s scrounging for coaches to fill out for all their new Bellevue based teams. After they scrape the bottom of the Barrell at Titans it's time to go to the source and hire directly from i9 sports!

Why you have been kept mentioning that Wilson was fired by Titans in this thread? Wilson was a good coach. He has been nice and patient with all the kids. His teams has been among the most improved teams within Titans for the last few years without recruiting kids from other clubs. His actually focus on improving his players, rather than just recruiting from XF. The club listed 5 reasons for firing him. The first 4 were ridiculous, and the last one told the true reason but it was hardly his fault. Although Gio is not bad, many kids of the team are looking elsewhere for the coming tryout season because the families cannot agree with the club on firing him. Good luck to him at EFC and I am sure he will soon be a top coach there.

The girls Elite teams will only play WPL. Titan has removed DPL from their Elite team pages. I've heard for some age groups they didn't even manage to form an Elite team.

This whole Elite thing turned out to be so bad for Titans. It destroyed their cash cows (teams from their locations) and pushed many players out. It also attracted very few players from outside. Most likely only from Gunners. The new Elite B team invention didn't help mush as well.

They were probably the biggest loser of this tryout season. Even Gunners probably had a better overall retention rate than Titans.

That's the info I have as well regarding Girls teams - not enough numbers to make a competitive Elite team at some of the older ages.

I also heard references that the club allows (or even encourages) "dual registered" players to join the Elite teams - probably to get the numbers up. I assume that means boys who are also playing on some ECNL or RCL team, but is also able to play on EAL because the governing bodies that issue player cards are separate?

Not just ECNL or RCL players. Add WPL players to that list.

Is there another club that encourages kids to play for 2 teams? That is embarrassing.
