FILM FROM THE GAME PRESENTED BY AUGUST HUNTER
The following details contain sensitive and vulgar language around homophobia and racism that may be triggering. The following details have not been redacted by the Women in Soccer (WIS) team in any way.

1) Yellow card (1:02:30)- It is clear that the player falling after I put pressure on them was not a foul
- The referee calls the foul but reaches to grab a yellow card after the XF coach gestures to the referee to give me a card
- The XF parents can be heard cheering when I receive the card
- You can also hear you calling the referee out on the call because it clearly was not a foul
2) PK (1:04:30)- Begins with me on a breakaway, I beat the center back and the outside back clearly fouls me in the box
- The center back (Crossfire Player 1), who is at the back of the box, clearly follows me all the way past the eighteen-yard box
- As I am minding my own business and pulling my socks up, you can see Crossfire Player 1 bend down and call me a "Pussy ass bitch" the first time
- She then turns to Crossfire Player 2 (center mid #7) and indirectly calls me a "Pussy ass bitch" for not taking the PK. Anna claps her hands and calls me a "Pussy ass bitch"
- Crossfire Player 1 then turns around again and claps in my face to call me a "Pussy ass bitch" again
- I do not respond at all during this whole exchange
3) Called a man (1:09:30)- The ball goes in on a throw-in and I win the ball. A center midfielder runs into me and falls on her own

You have SU parents who quickly admit they had an incident and it was brought to the attention of the club and parents and dealt with head on.
Vs
At XF there is constant deflection, lack of accountability, and a head in the sand mentality that it either never happened or it's just "boys will be boys".
Which culture would you want to expose your child to? Which environment would you want your child to learn from?

The loss was so bad for xf that they have decided to replace the current coach and revamp the roster in the coming weeks. Yikes.

I heard that the boys chose their own nicknames. The team gets along well and it is not a toxic, racist, hateful environment. Boys were wrong, and they were being foolish and now learned their lessons. They were disciplined... many were suspended from practices/games for varying # of weeks depending on severity of offense.

That link has been running on the front page of the SU website this year. Having been at a game where a xfire player dropped the n word multiple times, I wish xfire had the integrity to take a similar stand. I haven't seen any evidence of that, but would love to be proven wrong.
