For those who use extra training or training on the side, please comment about the training techniques and the person conducting the training. I am looking for extra training for my kid.

Ok, we have done it all. My recommendation is to train outside of your big club. You need a break from the club politics.
There are a number of good trainers, that are not associated with any club, in the area.
Scout out the soccer fields in area, Cleveland high school, robinwood, junkets field. If you are familiar with the soccer world in the area, then you know what training I am pointing to.
Also, there is a really good small club coach, that provide great training.
This is what worked for us.
Good luck.

Unless your kid already has incredible foot skills, have them kick the ball off a wall on a hard surface (like the driveway or unfinished basement) for 30 mins then have them juggle for 30 mins. Once they can easily get around 300 using both feet, tell them to try and kick it up high in the air occasionally and control it, try some tricks, etc. If they already are great with their feet, have them start doing some HIIT training at home to boost their fitness level. If they are struggling with being aggressive, have them play some pickup games in the neighbourhood with kids of different ages. Doesn't have to be soccer, basketball translates pretty well. Any of these things are going to be better than having a coach run them through cones. If the private academy they are going to is just kids playing small sided games, organize it yourself. The kids can play for longer and it won't cost anything.

topcornerconnections.com, OMG, thanks for solving the mystery to why a particular player was alway getting the love at national events. Even thought the players was not one of the top 3 players at the position on that team.
It is very disappointing and now I have lost respect for both coaches. Not like they really care about my respect.
I was still a true believer until now.

Honestly, I would love clubs to ban all coaches from charging for any soccer related things outside the clubs. Hate when parents feel they need to sign up for their coaches shi**y academy to show how dedicated they are. If coaches cared at all, they would be demanding kids worked individually at home and recorded each session for accountability. Dribbling through cones and playing some 3v3 a couple times a week isn't moving the needle for these kids; it's just lining the coaches pockets.

Nice call. Look a little deeper and you will find another coaches name on there. Yes, you solved the mystery.

My daughter signed up and absolutely loved their first session. 4 sessions, 1 1/2 hour per session, that’s 6 hours for $150.00 total, I don’t see how that is lining coaches pockets!
The kids loved it and that is what matters most.
