    2023 WYS SC Final-Four

What predictions do we have for the boys hs state championships?

Dont bash this post saying how its irrelevant and its not good level thats bs a lot of these final four teams would be top 3 or top 4 in the ECNL.

Just looking at results from league here is what I think but I could be wrong.

Seattle united copa 04/05 vs Sozo santos 04/05

Seattle united copa 06 vs Sozo santos 06

Seattle united copa 07 vs Valor 07

Seattle united copa 08 vs Wa Rush 08

Seattle united would clean up every age group and win it all at every age.

This is what I have guessed for the final then Seattle united to clean it all up.

None of those teams are top 3-4 ECNL teams. Seattle United’s 3rd teams are solid but cmon.

So SU Copa easily won its division in each of these age groups I guess or is there some other reason for your confidence?

Just looking at games between teams, and for league play and how they are doing in the tournament. It’s a prediction doesn’t mean it’s actually going to happen. But I would like it to happen being from the SU family.

Seattle United copa 06 and sozo 06 and rush 08 Beats ecnl teams all summer long and both did well in surf cup. I think you may not know or have even watched the teams play before but those 06 teams and rush team are real quality to watch.

Will be interesting to see. Just looking at fall schedule, SU Copa did win the 04/05 and 06 division 1 in RCL. But in 08 they finished in 7th (even below SU Tango) and in 07 they finished 4th (behind all the other teams that are in still in the running) and only had a 5 goal differential. Wonder what has changed with the 08 and 07 teams since fall season ended.

                            SU B07 parent.

We're in a good run of form.

Pac is the "best" team in the division in terms of actually playing soccer but don't always score and have been having (I'm told) lots of injury problems all year.

Valor has been the most consistent team in the division all year in terms of results. It isn't pretty. Lots of kick and rush and they're just more effective at it than say, WP and XF ECRL, who play the same basic "American, run hard with no tactic" style.

Whatcom has a few really, really talented kids and was strong last year, but seem to be very inconsistent as a team. The supporting cast isn't very deep.

Interesting take. I’ve noticed quite the opposite. PAC appear to have a consistent game plan of boot it upfield to their one giant center forward and pray he can do something. Valor on the other hand has some pretty talented smaller players with great ball skills and they move the ball around well but that doesn’t always work well against big, physical teams. I don’t remember much about SU but they do play with intensity and Whatcom is a pretty solid team and can be dangerous. But as you say - it can be streaky and if in a run of good form - well, any given Sunday.
