The man is a wizard alright...or should I call him by his nickname "Merlin". Spend a little time on the internet and you can discover a pattern of behavior that goes way far back. He is truly is a legend in his own mind. Walking around talking a good talk about his ManU days and riding on that "celebrity" status. He is a scammer who goes around from state to state and offers "camps" and programs. Those of us that have been blinded by his talks know its all a bunch of crap. He is just happy to take your money. Don't ask him to be a "coach". All he knows how to do is yell at children, verbally degrade them and push them away from soccer. It doesn't stop there. He'll even go after parents, he has no boundaries. Win a game (not likely)...where is his legacy? He has none. Maybe that's why he doesn't like to be called "coach", because he doesn't have the first clue on how to be one. Time to hang it up Gordy...before all your bad behavior finally catches up with.

Gordie is a good coach. No, he doesn't believe every kid gets trophy. He uses that humor to motivate his players. This forum seems to be all about negativity. If you do not like his methods, don't go to his training. It is that simple

If my words are not enough. Here it is, from this exact sight, 8 years ago. Someone better start to listen. It's not about winning. Search this site and you'll find it.

Coach Gordon should not coach children
What a shame to see Gordon Hill take over the U13 boys for next year. That man yells at children and humiliates them in front of others. He will tear down their self-esteem and in the few times he has attended their games, they have tanked it. He is going to mess up what was a great team and make the players loose their passion for soccer.

It appears you missed the point of the person's post. GH appears to be ruining a good thing at WFF. It is not about "special needs" as you put it. It is about getting the best out of your players....like the staff did this past season. Mindless, pointless yelling, combined with mixed messages is a recipe for how to lose the respect and morale of your team. While one may have been a great player in his or her day, it does not make them a good person or coach. People skills allow you to get the best out of your people.
While your answer was short, sarcastic, and abrupt, it shows you may have played or worked for someone like GH. For that, I am sorry for you. You take on the persona of your leadership. Set a good example, and others will follow.

This thread smells like one parent who is upset and it would be so blatantly obvious who they are that the OP has to try and dance around basic facts. No one even knows who this is.....Clearly not a coach, team or league that matters. Byeeeeee Felicia

A British coach here in the states who considers himself God’s gift to the sport despite being a really ****ty coach with an accent that fools all the dumb parents? Nah, say it ain’t so…

It is like TV, if you don't like what you, change the channel. If you don't like this guy, find another team or coach to train with.

This is the exact problem. If you dare to call out someone who is inappropriate, people just go to that standby response. You cannot tell children to stand up to bullies then add the exception that it doesn't apply to coaches (or a "famous" coach at that). The absolute problem with some sports is that parents are so desperate to pay the money so their child gets that added sports advantage, they will stand by and watch as someone degrades their child. Please don't put down the trophy culture, if you are just as willing to engage in a pay to play culture, regardless of how someone acts. That's still a trophy. This post isn't about negativity. It is warning.
i dont know tGordon Hill, nor do I know what WFF is. But this Gordon guy seems to have done a hell of a lot more for soccer than you have ever done: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Hill_(footballer)
