Why are people so willing to change clubs if they think they can get there kid on a higher graded team? It’s still the same kid, the new team probably isn’t better than the old one…

    what am I missing here?

I’ve seen a lot of kids jump ship lately for a “move up”

Have you ever changed jobs or are you still working at McDonalds from high school? Sometimes you need a change. Sometimes its about a wanting to be on a higher team. Sometimes its about a host of other things. you are probably not on the inside circle of the family conversations to know.

I think for some people, the opportunity for their child to play on a clubs top team is better than being on the B team at another club. Typically A teams have superior coaching, plus playing top on an A team will provide your child with opportunities to play against better competition. Same thing in professional soccer, you see numerous players leave top clubs so they can get playing time with the first team on another club.

As a matter of fact I still work at McDonald’s but not the one in high school. Just the three I now own. Thanks for asking

All clubs give the A team players the best coaches.

Making the world a fatter place, one McDonald's at a time. Good for you.

Right. Ultimately a kid wants to feel like their hard work is valued. Sometimes one club doesn't value the kid but a similarly competitive club does. Which one would your rather be at?

I am not saying this is for all cases, but there was one XF family that moved because his kid didn't make the ECNL team when his age group hit the ECNL age. They felt that he should have and that either foul play was at hand or they simply made the wrong mistake. So it this situation it wasn't just about being on a team that was the A team, it was about being wronged.

Sometimes XF actually has 2 ECNL teams, I would think being on XF ECNL 2 is a good spot instead of going to another club's A team. If XF has 2 ECNL teams that means there is so much talent at that age group there needs to be 2 teams. So staying at XF and working towards that ECNL team 1 spot is better.
