This is a super interesting development. On paper, looks like it’s an alternative to Sounders academy. The guy says they are sending someone to Seattle to control and supervise. That does not seem minor. Interesting also that he was here for tryouts. But players can’t go to European clubs until they are 18, right? PSG has a massive program and facility in Florida that appears to be a massive investment. Barcelona has the Casa Grande academy in Arizona. It looks like European clubs are moving past the marketing-only stuff from years past and investing on US versions of their academies. This could be good for Seattle. But what happens to Eagleclaw?
