yeah so these coaches are crap, they need to go, but XF is understaffed. There isn't anyone else to take these teams or step up and run things. The natural choice for director would be Steve, but he's on leave to care for a family member. They don't have any other coaches qualified to coach ECNL that don't already have 3-4 teams. Perhaps the second these guys are gone and the culture changes some of the coaches that left in the past few years would be willing to come back and take one team for a year to keep things afloat. My guess is they will get rid of Bernie, he only has one team and see if that quiets everything down. Billy needs to go too, no idea about Legg, but he doesn't have a great track record.

LOL Metzger is not pay to play, he does a lot of trainings, but they have no bearing on minutes. He plays every kid every game, almost even time. He's a development coach so every kid plays. Was a big shock to players on my kids team when they got a new coach and their minutes went from about even to 6min a half. When we traveled he would play the subs even more because he wasn't going to have kids fly somewhere and not play, he even started a game with all subs just to be nice. He got 6 kids moved up in 2 years at 11v11 age group, damn good results. He may be an old guy that played with Bernie, but they aren't friends, and are nothing alike.

Also, her former players come home from college and go to her trainings.

It made me think if soccer is the right sport for my kid. I was very very confused. Not sure what I should say to my kid about things that happened in the game or practice. Luckily we got a different coach the following year. No more under-table deals.

Then I saw those players playing more and more on the field or guest playing on the upper team. He promotes good players to the upper team. But some of those families are "working hard" with Mark. He also had a player acting like an assistant coach. Seems like the player's father reached some life development plan with Mark.
