PAC hires Paul Aur from Seattle UTD

Just saw on PAC's social media that they hired Paul Aur from Seattle United. This is a really solid pickup for PAC. He was the director of all of the SU regional teams and did a good job.

He was the director for less than a year. What kind of impact can you mention when you say he did a good job?

Paul is a solid coach. The SU regional program appears to be getting killed by Celtic. Far few teams now than a few years ago. Wonder how long SU will even have a regional program.

Paul is a great kid with a great deal of potential. The Seattle United regional program remains one of the biggest in the state. They just had 21 teams involved in the Founders cup semis and finals. Probably more then any club in the state so I think their regional program is doing just fine.

With the Founders now having Gold, Silver, and Bronze division, it is like everyone gets trophy. It is not as hard to have teams making semis and finals these days.

if you look at the teams that made semis and finals the division they are in, most of them are in silver or bronze, I would not say the regional program is necessarily doing well.

Paul is a great coach. He also did a great job as a regional director. It is a big loss to Seattle United. I hope the SU board is paying attention and asking why all these coaches are leaving.

Not sure if SU board has anything to do or can do with this. More likely issues with the coaching directors. They have been losing a lot of good coaches in recent years.

BINGY is a quality coach who was terrific at Seattle United. Paul Aur left the club to take a higher position at PAC and good on him. Seattle United will be just fine. Seattle United is proud when coaches leave for greener pastures. Charlotte MLS, Orlando MLS, Seattle Sounders MLS, and quite a few college coaches. Schools such as Yale, Saint Mary’s and other programs around the country. As always both SU players and coaches will be in high demand.

Though, it is concerning. You can put a happy spin on it, but the reality is there is an issue brewing.

They did bring in Matt Dorman - a solid coach from Eastside years ago on the girls side. Most recently from OL Reign. My guess is he wasn't originally brought on to coach ecnl boys, but that's what he's going to do.

SU has to be mildly concerned if Celtic gets GAL. That would be a decent hit against their regional program.

LOL the coach who left for Saint Mary's previously coached at Notre Dame. She was never going to stay at SU and the folks who hired her knew that. She coached SU for 5 minutes as a way to attract recruits.
