US Club Soccer

Hey group,

I was curious what this organization was about. We played in the US Club Soccer Regionals this weekend in Burlington, WA. Is it a competitor of US Youth Soccer?
The tournament was based on last years finish so we played in the U13 Supergroup against teams like the Washington State Champions (who went to US Youth Soccer Regionals in Lancaster, CA.) and teams of that caliber.
Does anyone have information they would care to share? I was just curious about the association between the two. Is one considered better and why? Can I assume the US Youth Soccer Regionals have been around longer? Is one more prestigious than the other?

Congratulation for coming in at 2nd. I don't much about it, we have played in it for the last 2 years not count this one. It was always played in Idaho before that I know of, this was the first year in Washington. Then if you win you can go to National in N.C. or that is where it usually played at. It usually has good quality teams, most of the time you won't play against state champs because they can't afford to travel quiet as much or teams have ODP players that are usually gone, thing like that. That is my 2 cent worth.

I thought it was run pretty well. The teams we played were of good quality. We lost in the final in PK's so it was exciting all the way to the end. Our keeper was pretty upset but this was the first tournament she played with us at this competition level so she fared really well. The winners went to Virginia Beach this year which would have been rather fun. Thanks for the info.

US Club is a "competitor" to USYS. I am in Texas and our local association is governed by USYS. Our clubs fall under the USYS umbrella too.

Most people look at it like this:

USYS = BCS
USClub = NIT
