I believe that PCU picked up a number of solid rec players. They also have a good coach.

Back to the State Cup seeding issue. The top four seeds have the big advantage of not having to face each other.

E.g., last year, LO was seeded fourth and, thus, did not have to face Ireland, Marine, or Possession. They also avoided Storm and Energy, who were the top Silver teams. Thus, LO made the final eight even though they tied WUSC and lost to RVSC.

The top four seeds this year are likely Ireland, Storm, Marine, and Energy. The fourth seed faces the fifth, which is likely Possession, a tough break.

To be sure, all of the top eight seeds "should" advance by beating lower seeded teams. Nonetheless, I still wonder who the sleeper teams in Silver may be this year. E.g., I believe that WUSC made the final eight last year by tieing LO and beating Ginga.
