Rush Nike is probably a Division 1 team at U -13, and the rest of the teams are down from there at that age group. They are the other club in town and have change their name about 3 times now. I know there use to be one Club in town, when the girls were U-11 but I didn't get here until U-12.

Oregon Rush
Hey, I live down here with Small Town our Daughters play on the same team. I also have a son who plays for Westside U-17. Rush used to be Deschutes Academy Football Club. They bought into the Rush francise. Its too bad as Bend is too small for 2 clubs. How it works right now if Bend United has a good team in one age group the Rush doesn't, and vice versa.

GU13
Appreciate the predictions and game reports, but isn't the biggest question for the Fall season how it sets up seedings for the State Cup Tourney?

Good point about QT's.
Am I correct that the 8th and 9th seeds get the worst draw in State Cup? Two years ago, LO's GU11 team finished eighth in Premier Gold. FCP Marine had won the Silver division and Bend had won the gold. Because there were no Washington teams involved, that was LO's State Cup draw.
This year the top two Oregon teams in Silver will face-off in State Cup and then play the #1 seed (presumably Ireland). That is not an enviable position.
The second issue is upsets, teams in Silver that beat a Gold team in State Cup. (E.g., last year, the 4th seed (LO) beat the 5th seed, tied the 12th, and lost to the 13th.) Who are the sleeper teams in Premier Silver this season?

I believe that it is four brackets in the serpentine format. Thus, Seeds 4,5, 12, and 13 constitute one bracket; Seeds 3, 6, 11, and 14 another; and so on. The top two in each bracket continue to State Cup in April.
I haven't looked, but recall that last year WUSC 94 was seeded 12th, but made the final eight. Because CPSC is in Gold, at least one Silver team must make State Cup.
My sense is that PCU Ice has a good chance of being that team, perhaps Atletica or WUSC. Seeing the top teams so often, it is hard to keep up with the up and coming ones.
