4 girls left for other teams. A couple quit. The core stayed together and played surf cup with a mix of ages of guest players. They were not as successful. Most decided not to play college. One of their top commits decided that she won't be playing in college and will be done with soccer after this season. The team is not even worth talkinylg about anymore. All that wanted to will play in college. From what I saw, personally thought the coach was a bit of a jerk but so are many other coaches in the state. Bottom line is that team got great exposure and had mega success and college commits as far as Oregon players goes. Several Arizona, other d1s and even a USC. Many girls decide not to play. The few from Oregon that go d1 often decide to quit after they go to college. Many of our stars end up benched and transfer or quit. Many more quit because of academic conflicts, not having a social life, or many other reasons. Some figure out they want something else before they even go to college. This isn’t unique to this team. What was unique to this team was their on field and commitment success for an independent team that everyone seemed to hate or be jealous of, or both. Can’t we all just be happy for any and all Oregon soccer players, whatever they decide to do about college ball, college academics and their post high school lives?Originally posted by Unregistered View PostComment

Didn’t play for him. Like I said, plenty of bad coaches out there. Only know his team beat ours every time. Just saying his players were good and got better commits than any other team. Beating the local club down the road is no barometer of quality.
Good players tend to get better by virtue of continuing to play.
It's much more difficult for bad players to ever get better.
Identifying as female opens the door for womens college soccer, where they have more spots than interested participants.
Clown coaches like these are running 'game' on parents, if you accept it and pay for it, I pity you.
The kids are merely pawns in the the clown show.

What a waste
Generally speaking teams this good send nearly 100% of the players on to college at some level. Something went very wrong with so few moving forward and players leaving in their final year. Very sad they do not get to defend their OYSA State Title and finish off as being one of the best teams in OYSA history. Instead they defected to another club and then league.Comment
