How are they doing in ECNL? We played them in a couple tournaments and didn’t think they would belong on the same field as Washington ECNL teams.

It doesn’t matter anymore. Boys can now play in this league because our leadership is out to lunch

LOL no they didn’t. Applied and got rejected first time round due to being under ran by westside. Westside Thorns have Nike and their cult to thank for Westside Thorns being accepted into ECNL

Lavers has gone on Record about the NWSL Portland Thorns Academy and how badly he wanted them. Lavers actually said thank you to the Thorns for choosing US Club over the new DA. Your bitterness is laughable as well as transparent. Next.

As well as the league Commissioner:

RICHMOND, VA – Portland Thorns Academy will be joining the ECNL Girls in the 2020-2021 season. The addition of the Portland Thorns FC brings one of the world’s most iconic women’s professional soccer brands into the ECNL.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Thorns Academy to the ECNL Girls,” said ECNL Girls Commissioner Jen Winnagle. “Having one of the most successful NWSL clubs in history join the ECNL as their platform for youth development will strengthen competition within the Northwest Conference and enable more of the nation’s top clubs to face each other in league competitions.”

“We are committed to the Thorns FC Academy and believe entering into this partnership with the ECNL will be key in its growth and success,” said Gavin Wilkinson, general manager and president of soccer for Thorns FC. “The ECNL is a proven national competition platform that will give our players the best opportunity to reach their full potential as we strive to develop players for youth national teams, top college programs and the first team.”

GA will overtake ECNL in a few years in the US. They are pretty neck and neck now. GA will figure it out real quick.

Hahahahahahhahahahah Literally a copy paste press release for all ECNL clubs joining, with a few minor change.

Let’s not forget one the westside thorns club directors (it’s a merry go round) bashed ECNL hardcore to prior to DA folding

Only a totally naïve person would believe this. The ECNL is the #1 girls league in the US by a wide margin.

But I think it would awesome if there was a local tournament between the three ECNL clubs and the three Girls Academy league clubs to help settle the issue in Oregon.

But we know the ecnl teams are a joke. Maybe one in every 3 years there is a good one.

90 % of the top players in WA play for/switched from
GDA to ECNL. In Wa, ECNL is what RCL1 used to be, GAL becoming what the top PSPL league was, and RCL1 becoming RCL 2 and lower. With Gunners and Harbor Premier joining GAL, hard not to see how this is not PSPL re-imagined. Not saying it’s bad or good. More than ever kids with aspirations to play in college should find the best team they can make an impact on regardless of league. And if playing for fun is the goal, find a team that is a reasonable drive without a jerk coach, and where the players aren’t so competitive that you can be actual friends.

What to do if “best team they can make an impact on” is in the highest league too BUT has a jerk coach?

That's laughable. #1 girls league? Take a look at the current standings, a #1 girls league would not have teams with 0 wins, no goals scored, and a -20 goal differential
