Hope they find a league or can merge with FC or CU.
Maybe OSAA will let them play vs junior varsity high school teams?

That totally makes sense sense as CU/ FC Players are the main ingredient on Fall JV high school rosters, I like how you think. Spot on

You must not follow high school soccer at all. The powerhouse teams are all made up of players from CU or FC. That's why the other high school teams never stand a chance.

Not according to the OSAA rosters online FC n CU travel customers Round 200 of em in total, The overwhelming majority of these girls are on jv and jv 2 hs rosters vs. varsity.

Which makes sense since they spread across freshman, sophomore and some average junior classes.

I don't know what you're smoking but there's only one powerhouse in hs and they're a decent high school girls team. Due to the horrific standard of Oregon girls high school teams they clobber everyone and that's Jesuit.
I don't think Jesuit has 200 girls on their varsity from FC &c u. Jus sayin.

The last few years some of the very best high school level players were in the DA and were not allowed to play for high schools which also contributes to the horrific standard of play. We all get to witness

            Actually, this is stupid.

Many elite club players are on JV or JV2 rosters--because they are freshmen or sophomores, playing for coaches who won't allow underclassmen to play varsity. LOTS of high school coaches have that rule, especially for boys where the difference in physical development between a freshman and a senior can be immense, with some frosh still having the bodies of little kids, and some seniors having the bodies of fully-grown men.

But many of the families who can afford to pay for ECNL and the expensive travel, ALSO can pay to get their kids into Jesuit University--despite living in rich neighborhoods where the local public school is probably just as good academically.

Cool, cool, cool. Now do the Thorns at their showcases where they put them against the worst of the worst in the DA, whereas CU plays the top tier because of last year's success.

You're correct it's beyond stoopid for the (cu/fc)JV & JV 2 OSAA HS players to spend thousands on travel year round and then match up in the fall on cow pastures playing bad recreational soccer.

I would prefer you called it what it actually is, poignant.

Promoting the idea that players sit at home playing the same old busted system in backwoods Oregon (you represent that) is what's stupid.

High school JV isn’t a bad place to be.

I feel bad for the kids on the thorns. some were not able to make their high school teams so they fell back on thorns and now the thorns league shrivels up. hard time for the kids.
