Rumor is the Thorns will be playing in OYSA. Any truth to this? It might help with the nine goal losses?

Under the current conditions, I could see ECNL teams also playing OYSA for a year.

Lol I didn’t even know Brandon (aka new Tom T) had a girls program. No way they would get accepted. FC is poor at some ages but some of the younger teams coming through should be fine, I say this with 2 daughters on B teams at 07 and 08. The 07’s are unreal (beat crossfire with their eyes closed) and 08’s are ok. Leg will have problems in years to come. Although him and Brandon would make a wonderful couple, in Brandon and Leg we trust; partnership 2023

The CU 07s are not good for a reason (Rochelle poisoned it) but maybe an influx of kids that were previously contemplating the DA would be helpful. Having two competitive ECNL teams in Portland at all age groups is ideal. A rivalry. FC is just not that competitive at too many age groups in ECNL. 06, 03, 04 all terrible.

Rochelle's 07's were awful and KL wouldn't have wanted them for ECNL anyway. THUSC regressed under Rochelle and are on a much better path with Kibwe.

It will be used as an excuse for lots of things... and in many cases it won't be completely false.

That said, the DA was probably toast two years ago when Carlos the Jackal became US soccer pres. Word is that he managed to steal the election from sunil gulati's favorite by promising youth clubs that he'd shut down the DA. The DA outlasted him, but only by a month.
