Crossfire United ECNL have some of the worst teams in the country

Maybe on a great day for one and an off day for the other, but I have seen them play and when CU 03 is healthy and clicking on all cylinders they are a tough out.

They are a solid team, with multiple good players and a handful headed to D1 schools to play.

They also benefit from a couple of hired guns they brought in from Hawaii. :/

It is all relative. I am sure the parents think their kids are great. Other people are more objective and probably think some of them are good, others not so much.

GDA apologists really ought to stop obsessing on bashing CU and start worrying about the train wreck that is Thorns academy. Wasting their time flying to Utah to play four games and come back with four losses, -24 GD. And as an aside I'm sure the Notre Dame recruit enjoyed flying to Utah to get zero minutes of playing time. That switch to Thorns is looking dumber and dumber by the minute, but hey, when the Thorns 2020 commit list comes out you can bet they'll claim the credit for the kid's hard work.

You sold out your values (if you ever had any) for a promised D1 commit. That worked for a few kids, although the secret everyone knows is those kids were talented enough to get D1 commits wherever they played (in other words, the nutcase coach didn't get them for your kids, your kids earned them).

CU fans ought to stop arguing about which platform/team is better. Your kids are mostly juniors and your time to watch them play club soccer is coming to an end. You made a decision that, for the most part, seems to be working out well. Be happy about it and quit arguing with/feeding the trolls.

Or the CU 03 team that took #3 in Nation for ECNL a few years ago? Again don't judge showcases as they are, when done correctly just that; Showcase your kids to College Coaches... This is why CU places kids at highest levels. Very competitive teams and a system for getting kids to next level.... Understanding the purpose of a showcase is part and parcel to the process.

Yes, CU played Eclipse and spanked 8-0, Eclipse was in DA the previous year.

Hawaii doesn’t have ECNL. Keeping them on as Discovery players is a common practice, especially with players from Hawaii.
