    OYSA Clubs Admittance Fee

Just wondering how much longer until OYSA Winter, Spring, Fall etc. clubs start charging admittance to their games?

Trash clubs already charge to park so why not?

Or should other clubs that use city regional parks just figure out a way to block off part of the parking lot and charge as well? Seems like a swell way to pay for some new track suits.

Try basketball or volleyball - soccer around here seems to be light years behind.

Look, it's "For the kids." Surprised this isn't already happening.

      Trashy, a bit.

If they are going to charge admission, at least they can have a beer vendor in the stands.

Soccer is cheap! Try gymnastics or volleyball.
I will pay for parking everyday

If Bend or Eastside or Capital wants to invest millions of dollars into building turf fields and charge me $5 to park there, I’ll happily pay it to support their endeavors to improve the fields my kids play on. You can always drop your kid off at the gate and sit in your car somewhere else and sulk during the game. Or park a ways away and walk. Some people just want to be unhappy about everything.

My DS and DD both played travel basketball and we paid every single time we entered a gym to watch them play. If the $5 parking fee is beyond your means you could always carpool with a less frugal parent. Or put your kids in rec sports and save all kinds of money.

5$ to park and $5 per person is reasonable. Maybe charge a discount "per car." So if you can stuff grandma and the kids in the station wagon you get a discount. But nobody in pick-up trucks. YOU MUST BE IN A SEAT!!!

If you do it right you could bring in thousands of extra dollars for your club each year.

Eastside and Capitol are the only ones I'm aware charging a fee to park for league games. You're kinda out of luck at Capitol because there is no other reasonable nearby parking but at Eastside you can park on the street right out front or in the neighborhood. Those are all public streets over there so go ahead and piss off the neighbors if you don't want to spend the 5$.

Charging to park....meh, it can seem a little lacking in class but it's not surprising. And I do suspect we are a year or two away from clubs charging to get into the venue.

In case nobody has told you yet, it's all rec.

I don't mind paying the $5. They just need to get one of those ipad credit card things. Besides elderly grandparents, who remembers to carry cash.

For $5, I think they should throw in a water bottle or a car wash. Give us something more for our money or actually do some real fundraising - ie. Sell bricks with people’s name on it, or host an auction.

Well no wonder why Eastside made such small parking spaces . More money .

Charging admission is next, why not. Seems kinda sleazy to charge a fee at a league game at a school or park you already paid for but if nobody is going to stop us, why not. It's "for the kidz."

Just park in the neighborhood. I got an email and said it wasn't allowed...um that's a public street.

Or better yet, there is about 30 parking spots right out front.
