[QUOTE=Unregistered;2591808]Guess what? The entire conference plays football on turf. The advancements made in turf make is very advantageous to play on - this isn't the AstroTurf of the '80s or even the thin artificial turf used in the '90s and '00s. New turf is much more forgiving on joints and more realistic to grass than ever before and is the preferred surface for fall and winter sports in the Pacific Northwest because of the annual rainfall.
Attempting the create the narrative that Oregon's 20+ million dollar Papé Field is somehow inferior in any way shape or form to what the OSU girls have at their disposal is frankly laughable.[/QUOTE
Turf is wack for soccer; not even debatable. Dumb

No one here knew so i had to do my own google search. She’s most likely gone on 12/31/2019. She was only renewed for one year in January. Per the contracts page, you can see coaches are usually given multi-year contracts. $118K/yr salary. How stressful for the 2020+ recruits.

2. Could just the recruiting coach lose their job?
3. Why would 2020 recruits worry? 2020s will have signed their nli in Nov. and be set. 2021s and beyond might need to worry but don’t new coaches honor verbals?

Especially considering they can’t get any wins. Base pay should be $25k and then give her $15k per win.

2. Entire staff needs to go. The biggest issue is their goalkeeping situation which is dreadful. Current starting GK is Kat's recruit. Bench keeper (who shockingly must be worse) is other coach's recruit. As to whose fault it is they lost the Thorns GK commit, that depends on who you ask.
3. 2020 recruits should worry because a new coach brings in a new mindset. With OSU last year, 2019 recruits were not allowed to sign NLI's until new coach was hired. UO could do the same thing, leaving them hanging. And even if they do sign their letters before she gets fired, it's a huge uncertainty to commit 4 years of your life to a coach that doesn't even know you and maybe never even saw you play.
My predictions: She's fired after loss to OSU. After that debacle at Arizona last night, the AD should meet her at the airport and fire her on the spot, but that won't happen. At least a few of the 2020's jump ship. Team is greatly improved next year with whoever they bring in.

They aren’t safe until signed

This is what happens when you hire women for jobs simply because they are women.
Her previous record reflects the mediocrity that is there now. PSU as well.
If they want to win then hire someone who can win.

True that professional soccer is always played on grass. At least for men. The USWNT complained greatly about having to play on turf in WWC2015
