Add to this there isn’t a single player on the varsity team who isn’t spending at least $5k+ on soccer training at club level and private. You can’t say this about public school teams. It’s great these kids are so privileged to have the family finances to afford an $18k/yr education and $20k spent over past four years on soccer training, but this cannot be said for all kids attending public schools. There should be some equity afforded in public HS sports. By placing Jesuit in a bracket with OES/Catlin/St Mary’s, , etc the playing field would be leveled. Yes it may mean Jesuit forms two varsity teams or they simply don’t cut seniors.
You don’t have to be catholic or religious to go to Jesuit. You just need the ability to pay the fees. If you can manage this you get the prestige and perks of being a member.

Leave it to Oregon parents to turn girls soccer into class warfare. Just elect Bernie Sanders as the head of OSAA. Free trophies for everyone!
And no, my kid does not go to Jesuit.

You also need to have good grades since admissions is less than 50%

If you want to make a varsity team then you need to be okay at that as well or else you might get cut.

You have people complaining about players going to Jesuit to buy a championship while at the same time they complain about Jesuit cutting seniors.

Reality is you pay to go to school and you have to earn your way to get on the team. From there you earn your minutes.

Heard they scrimmaged their JV2 team to get ready for Clackamas. Only beat JV2 5-1

            West Salem - 35 perc Free/Reduced Lunch
            South Salem - 46 perc Free/Reduced Lunch
            Jesuit - 2 perc Free/Reduced Lunch
What percent free/reduced on the varsity teams?
            Guessing:
            Jesuit 0%
            West Salem 5%
            South Salem 15%

Quit complaining. They will win out this year and probably not get scored on.
The only question right now is will they break scoring records.

Hey Jesuit dad would love to see an official list of Oregon HS soccer records

Hey how about St Marys scoring 2 goals on Jesuit. Guess they lost their good defense this year. Hoping west Salem beats you and puts you back in your place!

Good lord. When Jesuit beats a team by 8 goals they are a bully. When they spread the playing time around they aren't good. You people are never happy.

Just be good little folk and take your beatings and compete for 2nd place.

Scoring record was set last year so don't have too look too far.

You should probably post this in the 05 boys thread while you’re at it, just to make sure everyone sees it.

The two goals were a gift to the St. Mary’s girls from Jesuit as compensation for having to play for Rochelle and get verbally abused daily.

                              Precisely what I was thinking.

A gift? So let me get it straight, the whole Jesuit team just crowded around the end lines and let them score twice? Sounds real reasonable!
