I did there aren't high paying jobs for unskilled american rec soccer coaches. Most are volunteers and work with kids to teach life lessons and have fun. Brits and ex pats without job skills who ate holiday in the states chase this niche, kinda lame and short lived.

    Mate.

There plenty of examples of American soccer bums. I would be pulling your Legg to suggest otherwise.

I paid more with Williamette and my friends pay more than that at these 'NON' profit clubs. No I don't know who they are or care. Oregon youth Soccer is rotten and people like you probably a Director of a club try and convince me otherwise.

Sad part is it’s the kids who suffer the most. How about let the SCA/GPS kids play in the oysa league? To exclude them because they routinely beat the big club teams is petty and sad. How about be inclusive and let the best team win in fair competition? It would be better for all the kids!

            SCA = GPS 2.0
No matter how this shakes out, SCA guys will have to be truly top class to shake the stench of MJ off of ‘em.

The grown ups in the room need to stand up to what’s right for the kids. Oysa also can’t afford to chase away or deny any more of the few remaining top players. State Cup and the older girls league divisions have already become almost a sad joke. Not good for anyone.

All the other clubs follow the rules to be in the oysa league. If SCA were a non profit, I’m sure they would be allowed to be in oysa. Instead these coaches need to work for a for profit to keep their visas. If it’s important for your kid to play in oysa, find a club that is a member and quit bitching about it not being fair. All the other clubs that play in oysa follow the rules. Why should SCA be exempt from these rules that everyone else follows?

How is SCA routinely beating other clubs? SCA has played exactly zero games? As for GPS, there record proves that they were not a threat, with the exception of one team.

                  1. Where do you get the $2,200 figure from?
                  2. Based upon other posts on this forum about the state of Oregon soccer and OYSA, what's the point of playing in "league" games sanctioned by OYSA?
                  3. The bigger, more established clubs are doing such a great job in Oregon youth soccer, we should just keep our kids playing for them, huh?

Not op, but I’d say being able to play in the oysa league is better than not being able to play in any league at all.

Too many of the grown ups are petty and can’t wait to break up the gps 03 team so their teams can win. Sad to prefer to win by exclusion than actually by merit. OYSA parent here and have seen it for years against that 03 team. Sad.

What is sad is this 03 team will never reach their full potential hiding in OYSA. No secret but ECNL is over all better than US Youth Soccer / OYSA.

Most have already reached their full potential but the parents can’t see through the smoke and mirrors.

SCA just needs to make a public statement and/or post on their website regarding what is their current OYSA position. Bridge City made public their plan and there is no more bickering on line.

                              It’s pretty easy-

Pay $2,200 for private training to work on isolated technical work to win a Panna game or get a job at Ringling Brothers Circus.

Play some friendlies with other clubs.

Collect on our kickback from RCF when we send all of these kids to RCF to pay another $1,500 to play there too.

Clubwide style of play is to play like Wimbledon FC 1994 team.
