The amount of anger and insulting comments in these threads towards other clubs is a sad reflection on adults. How can we expect our kids to play soccer with respect when this is the stuff we're spewing?

If you don't like a club, don't sign your child up for it. Go to the program that supports your philosophy.

Let your child play in the club where they flourish and find inspiration. Every kid is different so we should be happy that different clubs have their own styles and emphasis.

If your team ever plays a club who, for some reason has put a bee under bonnet (I'm sure we all have a few), please leave your attitude at home. Just cheer your kid and your team on.

Wouldn’t that be the civil thing to do?

Good luck Joe Smith & Co. Hands down will be better coaches than anyone else in the state that CARE about their players. Yes, this means hands down better than the GPS Coaches that love to jump on this forum!!

ANY parent paying for development but choosing a league name as their main reason of decision is absolutely bat sh$t crazy anyway!! PAY FOR THE BEST COACHES, then stand back and watch for 1-2 years! Ignore the hype that those brain washed parents give on the sidelines; this league, that league Zzz!

Hands down best coaches in the state that CARE as well. Watch them grow and become the best. While the likes of GPS coaches jump on here and do their very best to squash this new club and don’t ‘mind their own business’, SCA will be here for the long run and will change the the trend of clubs. Now there’s a FACT!

Time to repost this. (Sing to "Master of the House" from _Les Miserables_).

Coach: Welcome, seńors, sit yourselves down
And meet the best football mind in town
As for the rest, all of them hacks
Booting it long, not playing from the back
              Seldom will you see
              Managers like me
A coach beyond reproach with an approach to see

              Master of the pitch
              Working on the skills
Ready with a rondo and a ton of drills
              Tells a tempting tale
              Concerning scholarships
              Parents they appreciate investing tips
Glad to do the kids a favor
              Costs you nothing for advice
But nothing gets you nothing, and the big time it has got a bigger price

Master of the pitch, keeper of the yard
Ready to go max out Mommy's credit card
Pricey branded kits, you really ought to see 'em
Traveling to tourneys for that sweet per diem
              Everybody loves a story
Of random kids who make it big
              Those are my favorite teases,
Jesus, what a cushy little gig

Parents: Master of the pitch, screaming on the side
He's got a British accent so he's qualified
Tutor to the young, teacher to the great
              Pedagogue, professional, and true teammate
              Every player's proud promoter
              Every parent's loyal guide
Coach: So keep up on your fees-es, Jesus, what a killing on the side!

Coach: Enter, seńor, drop off your kid
Our training is based on Real Madrid
Know lots 'bout the game, check my C.V.
Was a rising star, but blew out my knee
Here the grass is cut, here the roster's filled
And practice isn't done until I'm completely thrilled

Drills beyond compare, dribbling through the cones
Passing back and forth while I go check my phone
Have them run some sprints, working on their pace
Then send the kids out jogging all around the place
Parents they are more than welcome
To watch the practice from the stands
But don't ask any questions, 'bout anything that the coach demands

Six hundred bucks for camp, six-fifty if it's damp
Extra for an icepack if they get a cramp
Here a little piece, there a little jot
They'll need private lessons if they want a shot
              Everybody loves a sucker
              Promise them their fondest wish
              But money how it greases,
              Please whip out your VISAs,
Jesus what a barrel full of fish!

Parents: Master of the pitch, screaming on the side
He's got a British accent so he's qualified
Tutor to the young, teacher to the great
              Pedagogue, professional, and true teammate
              Everybody loves a manager
              Doling out a starting job

Coach: But parents are such sleazes,
Jesus, what a toxic little mob!

              Coach's wife:
I used to dream, that I'd marry a jock
But now it's happened and oh my God... what a cock!
(And no, I'm not talking about little Mini-esta here....)

Master of the pitch. Shouldn't be coaching rec
Pedagogue, professional... Oh, what the heck?
Got a nose for money, likes to run his mouth.
True he's a former pro but that was Conference South
How did I earn such karma, to wind up as this tosser's wife
God knows how I stand it, living with this bandit in my life!

              Parents: Master of the pitch
              Wife: Master of the hook!
              Parents: Pedagogue, professional..
Wife: Yeah, go read the book.
Parents: Tutor to the young, teacher to the great
Wife: Alcoholic, con artist and reprobate!
              Parents: Everybody loves a manager,
              Everybody loves his witch
              Everybody raise a beer
Wife: He's had enough to drink I fear
Parents: Everybody raise a beer to the master of the pitch!
              Cheerio!

Absolutely a key part of development. But first to master the ball takes priority along with dominating 1v1’s in every capicitity. Keep doing you thing though coach !

I will. 1v1’s are important from 5-10 years old
From then on players need to learn to combine.

                          Actually you are partially wrong.

The top academies teach “space” before anything.
1v1’s are taught on the playground.

Being able to recognize where space is is the most important.

I know, I know...you English boys have it figured out. You see a market for attracting parents with “technical” work. It’s an 11 month season...those kids will dominate 1v1’s but won’t know how to process the game

So let me work this out. Before you can learn to master the ball you work without the ball? No one works on 1v1 domination and ball mastery first ?

Would love to see this in practice. Having spent time at Spurs, Valencia and PSV Eindhoven I’m yet to see this. Always willing to learn however so do elaborate ?

Always happy to share good practice with you. Reach out. Life is about growing and learning.

                              How many teams were formed?

                              Are they playing in PSPL?

If they play OYSA do they get to wear those girly purple kits or IFC kits?

                                SCA and OYSA

                                They have a few teams.

They will be providing opportunities for their players to play games.

This is 2019, that view/comment is as about outdated as the coaching in this state

                                Cheer up! :)
