One coach gone? I don’t find them any different in my experience. All seem very similar..yawn.

At least FC posted coaches. CU has not - perhaps the director is coaching all of the teams this year?

he might take all the teams, kick + chase isn't as easy to implement as one would think. Plus, mo-money, mo-money!

Understood. It's just that, for our girls, it was the highlight of their time in soccer.

So the highlight of the Gresham Gorilla and her thug teammates from Eastside was to lose EVERY game to FCP - even to FCP's B team in NWCL! Those are some highlights!!!!

Maybe. We certainly beat them several times on the way to our fourth place finish! That said, it's not very nice to refer to a young child as a "thug" or a "gorilla". Some girls develop early, and you should feel sorry for yourself to body-shame them in that way. But there were a lot of immature parents back at FC Portland, and it got worse when the team started thinking about ECNL and being a "travel team", and half the moms and dads thought their girl was the next Mia Hamm. We got out when they messed with the age groups. My daughter is still playing soccer and loves it, but we have not spent a small fortune on plane tickets so she and her teammates can fly off to wherever for beatings. Have a nice college fund as a result.

But still, when she thinks about middle school, one of the highlights is that State Cup. That was a special team. It's unfortunate that those FC girls never really accomplished anything else.

FC Portland ECNL 2001 was 4th place in OYSA Premier.

Fc Portland would generally be 3rd-6th in every age group if everyone played each other.

They average with a few decent players sprinkled in. Coaches are mediocre or outdated.
