Some rumors and speculation out there that ECNL is abandoning birth year and returning to school year? Any truth to this potential switch?

The rumor is that ecnl will not go back to the past Aug-July calendar year groups but to the college aligned HS graduation year. This would take into account diffferent school cutoff dates across the country. Would be a very smart move considering GDA is going to individual age groups for girls next year at all but u18/u19. There will no longer be loads of younger of the two band year groups looking to switch to ecnl. Unless of course, ecnl switches to grad year. Then most juniors and seniors will switch to have their own team. Same with all the younger grades to align with college recruiting.
