Agreed but as long as Thorns kids are having fun and improving that’s all you can ask for. My middle daughter played soccer on rec team and would start danicing around like she was doing some strange dance mid game. Barely paid attention to the ball. Was awful, but she had fun, made friends and loved that there were snacks after the games. Sports success is all relative.

Just to add on to this, it means nothing in Oregon as we have no Elite.

70-80 Elite MLS/NWSL and non Oregon affiliated clubs across the country are in the DA today and next year as well

Without any elite players in our area we should be thankful this issue never faces our ilk.

True and good to remember if you are frustrated with the quality of your daughter or her team. Just have fun. Nobody in the world cares about any of this stuff but us parents.

Clubs are going all in with ECNL. Time for USSF to figure it out or it could get real bad.

Don't know, but FC Nova was ECNL prior to merging with Boise Nationals (who were in the Timbers Alliance) and thus becoming a Thorns affiliate.

With all 5 of WA big clubs now going ECNL, and the Thorns being the very bottom team at every age group besides u18/19 (which is low mid-pack in a weak league), it would make lots of sense for both Thorns and Reign academies to go ecnl. Otherwise, what are they going to do, play the N. Cal teams 4x? I doubt the N. Cal teams will want to have to fly up her 4x (2x for Thorns and 2x for Reign. I’m actually a big supporter of both GDA & ECNL but this is messed up.

Pretty sure you are just making all of this up at this point. I don't believe the Thorns would join the ECNL nor would the ECNL take the Thorns and add another team in Oregon making the travel unbalanced.
