Last soccer election was about business acumen v. soccer acumen.
Everyone thought business acumen won out.

Why is it NT games are either a) played in a place that doesn't care about soccer, resulting in an empty stadium, or b) played in a soccer hotbed near the southern border against a Latin American team, resulting in a stadium full of the opposing team's supporters?
My favorite NT game in recent memory was the snow bowl against Costa Rica in Denver. That was awesome. (We don't win that, we probably wouldn't have gone to Brazil).Comment

Does SUM get Attendance money? I know they get the Broadcast money but not sure about attendance.
That being said yes that was a terrible location choice. If they are not playing Mexico that is going to fill the stadium with Mexican National team fans, at least look at where MLS teams are getting a big attendance (Atlanta & Seattle) and play there and hope for the best.Comment
