First half the US were dominated throughout. Was not fun to watch, pinned in our 18 defending. Had a few counters, and CP should've scored a clear chance, and right after that is when England scored both.
In the second half I thought the US was better, had more possession, created some more chances, and at least made a game of it. WM was better in the second half, and Adams gave a little spark.
That's all. England were the better team, clearly.
There was nothing positive about the game, other than maybe Pulisic in first half.
However, u20s looked good versus Costa Rica. Maybe Tab or Hugo is the answer.
I thought Pulisic was very average in the first, the rest of the team was below average. He should’ve scored, and instead five minutes later the US was down 0-2.
You are right that the u20s have looked good in qualifying.
Any thoughts on a few of the rumored names for the head job, Berhalter and Pareja?
US U17 girls team was completely dominated by DPR 3-0 in World Cup group play. DPR!!! What is going on with US Soccer? It’s in a bad place. Can’t blame ECNL, or US DA. Must win game against Germany next. EEK!

The US has over relied on athleticism with too little focus on technical and tactical development. It is as simple as that. The rest of the workd is catching up, and surpassing the US on all fronts. The upcoming Women’s World Cup will be interesting.
This is what it looks like when you teach kids to be fearful in possession. We see it every weekend on our youth fields: clearances instead of trying to keep it, safety instead of trying to play out of tough spots.
