Thorns aren’t about college! It’s a pro track.

      Hahaha

Anyone that really thinks their daughter should go the “pro track” in women’s soccer instead of to college is a complete fool. Unless your dd is the elite of the elite and playing with the us women’s national team (which she should be by now if worth a damn) there is very little financial reason. At least get an education paid for and have a half way better chance at having a job that pays better than a youth soccer coach...

Some girls want to grow up to be a doctor or lawyer while others want to be a soccer coach. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be a soccer coach. Not all people are meant to be on a white collar career path.

How is that different than pursuing a liberal arts degree?

Cool idea of getting your education paid for or partially paid, for but how much money did you put into soccer? How much time did you put in? What was the opportunity cost of doing soccer?

Not saying above is a bad idea, just saying that we are not all practical 100% of the time.

You make a valid point regarding how much travel money you put into Soccer, especially with girls soccer and the Title IX bump in the horizon. The outcomes (where you go) don't change much (for college) if you do pay the local pay travel club vs not so much travel club.

Great point. It's one of the reason's the DA is so attractive, it's subsidized.

Sometimes the outcomes change and sometimes they don’t. No matter the decision you can always justify in your head the reasons why you are doing something.

The point is it is the player’s money, time and goals. Outsiders don’t really have a vote

It’s also outside of the vote of a club membership. Which is odd. But par for the course.

If you don't like what you are getting from your club, then you should leave. It is your money and your time. People are only stuck when they choose to be stuck.

Typical reaction from someone who is clueless and defensive. When you make a decision that is a mistake for your membership, it’s best to recognize it and digest it, then perhaps evaluate your place in the world, see if you can correct it and move forward. Or take the path of shooting the messenger(s) if you can’t deal with the glaring truth on the field and airport lounges.Same ole...Same ole... your tired knee ‘jerk’ responses. If you don’t like it leave, even if it’s been your club since pre-k.

Good luck with attitude it’s why the outcomes aren’t changing.

Just an expensive exercise in stupidity for parents to fund.

You could say 4/25 because salmon creek developed one of those players and i’m sure another one of those wasn’t a d.a. Or thorns product.

                      #da development what???

Not sure why you would think my response was defensive. Just simply stated that you make the decision so no point in playing victim when you are in control.

You sound sort of sensitive in your response though :-)

Maybe you should join the board and get control. Great idea.

Thorns are a Pro Track so your argument in invalid.

There isn’t a shred of evidence, history, or result that validates that funny sellers quote.
