How many Thornz Asylum girls into pros since they started 5 years ago? ZERO. How many to college? ZERO that hadn't already signed up prior to joining Thornz.

Fact is Thornz Asylum is the absolute worst place for truly skilled players.

I guess some skilled players made a bad choice. Go ahead and say those players were developed somewhere else. Where those players really developed by FC Portland, THUSC, Crossfire, etc... ?

The interesting thing about the Thorns and the ECNL lists of college placements is that they are nearly identical to the lists of oysa players going to similar colleges across the board. There is no need to play in the elite leagues and travel to commit to these same types of schools, or even the exact same schools. All three paths work just fine. Nothing wrong with any path. Choose the one your daughter likes the best, enjoy & don’t bash anyone else’s path.

DA level is the top platform in the nation, of course boys and girls playing at the older ages of DA will all go to college, usually a good one.

Girls from even a HS JV with no Varsity experience can play somewhere college It's important to understand DA products are most likely our nations future pros or high level collegians.

Boys have fewer chances for college due to Title IX interpretations and less funding so playing DA is the best pathway to college, nats or pro...not even an argument.

                  It is actually not.

I was the one that posted the list to show that DA is no worse than ECNL, but they are not better either.

The "playing DA is the best pathway to college, nats...." makes you sound like an idiot.

One is not necessarily better than the other, but it does look like from a national level, ECNL is better run and may be winning the battle.

the mens/boys side: college, mls and us nats placement from the older DA has no peer in us club or usys leagues..saying otherwise doesn't mean you're an idiot, just ignorant is all.

For most of your ilk ignorance is bliss.

While this is accurate for boys without any argument, the DA for girls can only boast national team or future pros and the very top flight college placement, they cannot compete with usys or us club (ecnl) for lower level school placement on Girls college teams, as these colleges need so many 'roster fills' due to title ix, the DA being a select small pool of only 80 elite clubs in the US at just 2 age groups just can't supply the thousands and thousands of hs grads needed each year at the jc, naia, d3, d2 and bottom rung d1 schools. simply a supply and demand reality.

They cannot compete with ECNL on college placement at an level. ECNL is just better run.

The can boast national team because US Soccer runs the DA, but I am not sure that will continue to happen since some of the top clubs have pulled out of DA and are all in on ECNL.

As with future pros it is TBD, but the average salary is around $20K so what is the point.

Don't all future pros tend to come from high level colleges in girls soccer?

bottom rung d1, d2, d3, naia and jc girls dont go pro becausepros dont have title ix mandates.

USYS crushes all US club leagues which includes ecnl and they destroy the DA as well..usys supplies the most girls for colleges..US Club beats the DA since they (US Club Ecnl) graduate more girls to college each year as they field 5 HS birth year age divisions (as does usys)the DA only has 2 HS age groups a smaller pool each year going to high level colleges and pros.

Simply supply and demand..USYS has no volume competitor.

In Oregon, girls DA is significantly worse than the ECNL options.

You are trying to say 2 local club options are better than the singular NWSL Thorns DA.

Love your sense of humor and perspective, it's refreshing to say the least.

                              Thanks for the laugh.

All top clubs are pulling out of DA. It’s not the product that elite players want. If they don’t start allowing high school sports DA will not last much longer. Elite talent doesn’t have to sacrifice.
