If Sunset was 3A they’d be winning by Jesuit margins. It’s all relative.

How does this early season list look now that we are three weeks in? I think Jesuit looks pretty unstoppable this year. Even the West Salem team that was touted earlier in this thread as the one to unseat them fell hard. Nothing negative to the teams that are falling to them, just losing to a great team.

Jesuit’s JV team would be #2 and probably be in the title game beating everyone but Jesuit varsity.
Jesuit is not a school team in the traditional sense. They don’t pick players from a small geographical area like 98% of schools do.
Even good schools in good areas might have 6-7 great players but then steep drop off after that.
It’s not a fair set up to let Jesuit play in OSAA girls soccer but it is what it is. They will win the state title easily.

Hail Jessy Huett, she is full of grace. The Ginga is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the Gatorade that sustains her.
Holy Moly, Mother of all 6A,
pray for the opponents back lines and keepers,
now and until the hour after the State Championships. Amen.

I agree there is a lot of season left and everyone is beatable. In fact the way they are running score up on some of those teams may backfire later in the playoffs if they meet up with them again.

Would you rather have a team play their hardest against you or would your rather just chase them around and let them toy with you for the 2nd half, but not shoot the ball?

It’s silly to worry about this. Jesuit is a massive failure if they don’t win it all in girls soccer.

Isn’t Jesuit technically a 5A school. They should petition OSAA to let the Jesuit JV team compete in 5A. If not, they should let Jesuit have 2 varsity teams in 6A. There are too many great players at Jesuit missing opportunities because they have to play JV.
