I wish all the local kiddo clubs would follow their lead.
The daycare camps they run are probably be very profitable. Don’t they take profits from OYSA league and cups too?

Clubs run local leagues and tournaments which have massive profits.
Yet they dont fund the elite kids at their own💰 clubs, like the local Pro club does, different priorities.
Of course.

Deflecting
You know you are doing something right when you see threads like this.
It is well documented that Eastside branded its girls club the Thorns to align itself with the boys branding of the Timbers. Neither the Eastside Timbers (boys) and Throns (girls) have anything to do with the US Develop Academy program, except many players do advance from Eastside to the DA.
The Portland Timbers/Thorns maintain complete control of the coaching of general over site of the program. Coaches are Laura Schott (sorry FC she moved on) Chris Thurley, and Tracy Nelson. Asst coaches are Sophie Clough and Kat Tarr.
Administrative duties were off loaded to Westside Timbers to take advantage efficiencies of Westside already processing players etc. Unlike other area program the Timbers/Thorns would like their money to go to the kids, that is why there is no charge for the boys and the girls is half of what other national travel leagues charge.
Eastside, Westside and Washington do offer field space for training. All three have multi million dollar youth training soccer complexes. The Thorns will also be using the Timbers training center and Jeld Wen as primary training facilities.

I for one think that Timbers Alliance clubs are right place for thorns academey. I don't know why all the negativity and mocking. They are just kids and everyone deserves to play.

Crazy

First no, the girls DA was not farmed out to Eastside and Westside. Eastside rents fields to the girls DA, that is their entire relationship with the Thorns DA. Westside handles some administrative duties (registering players etc.)
The Portland Timbers/Thorns maintain control over coaching, player selection, the over all program.
Do you struggle with small task?
