They should play in a third tier tournament. Their DOC obviously doesn’t know what he’s doing. It’s the responsibility of the DOC to place his or her teams in the correct classifications.

OYSA especially at the ‘00 age group is third tier. All of the top players are playing in the DA or ECNL. How is a DOC suppose to figure out what state cup to do? How is a DOC going to know that FCSC is going to sandbag a weak tournament?

Not necessarily, hard to say what new teams would enter without Washington being in the mix.

And where would all these new teams come from? You've already got almost every rec team in the state in "Premier" now.

We are complaining about a no name club with a very short life expectancy. This club will always have one team and that team will be the granddaughters team. Once they graduate there will be nothing.

Agree. Go Oregon teams! Washington teams can play in their own WA State Cup. They’d have less of a drive than Medford. Just because they don’t compete well in their own state doesn’t mean they should get to play in our own state cup. OYSA should change its name to WOYSA.

Says a lot about the coach...kinda what happens when you have someone who appears to be a good coach but doesn't know what they are doing.

The Salem coaches tried to encourage their girls but it was hopeless. CFC players just aren't Premier level, maybe not even select level. And it showed. And it also showed in how easily their spirit was broken. Not one of them kept up the fight even after being down 10-0. They just all gave up. Typical.

What's the object of the game? Make the other team look better than they really are? Hardly. Object is to score goals. What's shameful is how poorly developed and coached the Salem team is at this point in their youth soccer careers. Not only did they give up 14 goals they did it with their heads hung down like dogs that had been beat. Show a little spine and quit whining because your team sucks.

That's what people say every year and yet FCSC keeps coming back and keeps beating up on Oregon teams. Probably the smallest club in OYSA but does better than "titans" like Eastside and Westside.
