The ban is not on high school soccer. The issue is the season is 10 months long and you cannot play DA and High School soccer at the same time.

Do you want your club season to be 10 months or 5 months? It all depends on the individual.

If your opinion is the DA games are dull and sparsely attended then why are you even debating the choice. Don't do DA. It sounds like it would suck for you whether it is 5 months or 10 months.

Look, if you want to have fun GDA is not for you. Having family and friends cheering for you is a distraction from serious soccer. Get your priorities straight.

The younger thorns teams are really bad. -40 goal differential. Like Burlingame.

The girls DA clubs and NWSL Academies loaded with elite players are having fun & have no regrets about not playing HS.

On the other hand girls like the ones who fill rosters at CU & FC P know what a joke their U Cbub club league has become and crave to play HS for some escape and enjoyment.

              It's understandable and expected.

                Butbutbutbutbut....

I want there to be an elite pathway for the casual player! It's not FAIR that my darling Brittany has to choose!

If your daughter wants people to come watch her play then her priorities are all screwed up. It is not about applause or affirmation. Serious, humorless people like Clint Dempsey, Tim Howard, Megan Rapino and Hope Solo didn't become socially grating people by having fun.

The girls should want to put their head down and train and get better to serve the US national team. That's it. Anything else is pure distraction.

Thornz Asylum certainly doesn't have ANY "elite" players. They don't even have any players that rise to the level of "rec" at this point in time. Can't be much fun playing other mediocre teams and getting throttled like the Thornz are.

Apparently some colleges are committing"rec" players these days then.

This. If you want to be national team material you have to be willing to make sacrifices.

USWNT are a bunch of pampered snowflakes. Who'd want to be part of that?

Oh my! How painful. I think I'll join an ECNL team and get competition more in-line with my DD's skill level. Or OYSA...they are about the same.

It the parents that want to win and have fun. Kids only want to train and get better. They don’t care about winning. Parents are the problem. If you are in line to get technically better you are on the wrong track. Winning games or titles is not what this is about. Wish we could get parents out of the equation.

becoming a pampered snowflake is the american dream. no one wants to become wealthy so they can change their own oil and do their own labor. idk what you are talking about.
