Keep paying 10k a year to lose to C teams and OYSA teams.
So true. The Crossfire United folks on here trying to justify their club by posting results of a tier 3 tournament. Notice they don't post their ECNL league results. Their best results was an age group or two finishing in second to last place. That's just sad. But this was all predicted to happen back four years ago when ECNL in Oregon was just getting started. There was no way two ECNL clubs could have any level of success and CU's putrid leadership and terrible model made them the favorite to fail. And they haven't disappointed. And funny, but the college recruiting is drying up over there too. Look at the 2018s and 2019 commitments. Very few of them exist.

Tier 3 tournament? OYSA teams, including the state cup champion, competed in the tournament and didn't win, so you must think even worse of TA teams who can't even compete well in what you judge a tier 3 tournament. In fairness, though, the Crossfire Challenge is graded as a Gold tournament by Got Soccer, unlike the Beaverton Cup, which is a Copper tournament.

        Sure it was...

And you just happened to miss out on the comments about the Thorns right above the "inconsiderate" post?

        Don't be such a pussy.

There are 4 threads slamming the Thorns Academy. Are you the same guy posting on all of these threads?

Must be fun to live in thorns academy land. Crossfire Challenge is tier 3 and Beaverton cup is a college showcase tournament.

Jealous people feel the need to bash. Many people are jealous of the Ecnl teams, jealous of the thorns Academy & jealous of GPS 2003s.

Haters gonna hate and jelly parents can't help but hate that other girls might be doing or getting better than their own princess. Put your kid where she's happy, be happy & don't worry about others.

When a player is recruited away by another program, it is not always simple jealously that attracts the ire of those that don't go.

Recruiting and club-hopping destabilizes teams and clubs.

Parents are consumers and are free to take there kids where they think is best; competitive sports = competition, so some degree of marketing is expected.

Just maybe there should be ground rules. There is certainly a degree of understanding among some clubs that they aren't going to recruit against each other and if they are there is going to be some degree of civility in how it is going to be done; the teams "outside" that understanding are going to draw some criticism.

Ground rules are for cowards. Its a dog eat dog world, time to get some milk-bone underwear.

No one is ever forced to move. If the player wants to move because they are offered a sweeter carrot, then so be it. Teams are ever changing as it should be.

I think we all can lose sight of who youth sports is supposed to benefit. It shouldn't be about creating a stable team or club but what is in the best interest of the players. Players that move on are usually in need of something their current club or team can't provide. These players may need a different coach, different training environment, different competition (you get the picture). Every club or team can't meet the needs of every type of player (that's ok). If all we're honest in the needs that they served and worked to send the appropriate level of player to correct program it might serve everyone better.

This is what happens when you believe all the bs and lies about how elite you are by association. You waste your time and money while ruining your ability to actually look like you had a clue.

Not only are they paying 10k like all the other fools to get beat 9-0 and have -75 goal differential in their league, they wasted their time developing and can't even beat teams that they talk crap about.

Who's playing B teams now? Ecnl Oregon.

Who's losing to B teams now? Ecnl Oregon

Who can't beat a OYSA team that was middle pack last year.

This is just more evidence the Crossfire United is a complete joke and is the loser in the Portland ECNL game. This is a program that will not be alive in a couple of years. Just look at the recruiting sites, very few 2018s and one 2019 has an offer. That's just pathetic. $10K a year for that?

GPS dad, sorry your players keep bailing for CU, but this isn't helping. Also sorry you aren't privy to the many 2018, 2019, and even 2020 verbal commits (to D1 schools outside of Oregon) CU girls have already made. The sites you refer to are not close to 100% accurate or complete - you knew that, but you want to stop the bleeding over at GPS so lying is in order, apparently.

Good luck this season defending your OYSA title.
