I would beg to differ if we are talking about the 05 group. I am very familiar with all of the "little DA" clubs, and in my opinion Crossfire is a very close second to Washington. Athleticism wise, Crossfire is the top team. Talent wise, Washington is the top team. FC has both athleticism and talent, but not as much as either Washington and Crossfire. Westside is woefully lacking in both. Westside is closer to Eastside. Just a fact.

But, I believe the OP was commenting on a post about Crossfire 05 DA playing 05 TA. Based on the lack luster (and exposing) results of the TA team, I don't think there is a doubt that 4 of the little DA teams would have handled the TA team.

Where will the Crossfire players go at u15? As a club Crossfire has no record or history of being successful in the high school years with any boys teams. Historically they lose all the top players in high school to FC or Westside. Are they going to offer ecnl for boys or just continue to try and focus on the younger years?

Washington Timbers, maybe. But Crossfire is closer to Westside than to the TA. Sorry, but that's just how it is.

You make me laugh, the 2 teams mentioned tied when they played, and if you look at the results when either one of them starts and plays their "top 11" a majority of the game (like happened in ca) there are not any other teams that are as good and that includes TA....

That is a lie. ADF 06 had only two ADF 05 players because many ADF 06 players were not available. The played the same amount of time as other players. You also failed to mention that the ADF 06 team got third place. By the way, the ADF 06 team beat the " Mexico" team while the Mexico team beat one of the West side DA teams

Does this mean US Soccer will extend th DA little label to them (adf) or the Mexico team? coached by a caring dad...ohhh the buildup is palatable.

Okay seriously, who are these clowns on here trying to over inflate Westside DA? Westside has had DA for years now, and has put an inferior product on the field. Whatever the reason, it is what it is. Please stop trying to say otherwise. I have to agree with the other posters...Washington and Crossfire have the best DA clubs right now. Save me the arguments about Vantuckians, and white Lake Oswego suburbanites....results are all that matter.

A recap of the Tualatin Indoor tournament.

In first place, no surprise, was "Portland Blast"--essentially a team from Portland Timbers Academy. They won all six matches they played in (five round-robin matches plus the final). One note of concern--while they won, they didn't dominate this tournament like they should have. Five of the six games they played were decided by three goals or less; only woeful THUSC were they able to rip apart. ]

The low brow showboating by the Timbers 05 Academy goalie every time they scored against the poor Thusc team was truly shameful. It became embarrassing and uncomfortable to watch. So much in fact we heard the TA the coach had to apologize to the Thusc coach afterwards. Portland Timbers - please teach your players to be gracious and humble. The display by that young man was a disgrace to the sport.

Worst part was when ZA got moved to striker, and was practicing his bicycle kicks against the THUSC goalie. (Malfoy, of all people, came in as backup keeper, for TA, and naturally had very little to do...)
