Beaverton cup is the bronze division tourney that attracts such low level clubs as thorns and clackamas power rays.

It's a sad state of affairs but, then again, aren't all of the Timbers tournaments? Bunch of cavemen and lemmings on the sidelines cheering on the big booters and the thugs.

Either that, or a pathetic coach or booster who thinks this constant stream of putdowns of anything outside ECNL will actually improve his club's fortunes.
Or, possibly, a troll who is having a good time posting risible flamebait to a soccer forum, and provoking the usual reactions.
Or, a bitter ex-Timbers parent whose DD had a bad experience at a TA club, and who has made it his life's work to expose the Alliance for the frauds he thinks they are.
My money is on 1 or 4, but all are possible.

Just the facts
Don't take it personal. It's easy to understand why the parents and coaches who's kids play in a league called Ecnl are angry, resentful, rude, and pointed.
All you need to do is ask them how their kids team is doing. Seriously. Just ask.
-75 goal differential
Losing every game 9-0
Flying 5 hours to play teams that aren't even as good as teams in Beaverton cup.
Rosters of 25-30 with only 11 playing
And smoke and mirrors about college using example of a team that doesn't even remotely reflect the one their kid is on.
They are getting scammed and the only thing they have is living vicariously through teams that are associated with the league but they don't even play them or not alike.

Being a doormat in a league doesn't make you elite, it makes you an idiot.

Doesn't matter, the doc cold called me and my kid and one of the main reason we didn't go over was because of the above and the SIMPLE fact
I do not want to be associated with parents and coaches that come on here and are left with their insults because they are getting scammed and feel the need to lie or tear others down.
Who wants to be on a team with those slimy people.

I actually lean towards 3, but perhaps that's because I tend to have faith in humanity ... at least the person isn't afraid of a little truth.

any tournament can be awesome if there is parity and decent officiating in your bracket. quality of play is a distant second. this is why my silver/bronze level players LOVE tournaments.

All of these tournament promote negative development.
Playing 4-6 games in 48 hours is a terrible idea.
The first tournament that changes their structure by shortening the length of the games will be the true club that is for the kids
