how's the competition at the friendship cup for the 95s? i would think that a lot of the key players to these odp teams are playing for their club teams at the man u cup.

The G95 competition has to be diluted this year with the ManU. The Oregon G95 tournament championship will have an * behind it because the Colorado team and Washington had players missing.

Oregon G95 should return their championship shirts and feel bad about their 2-0-1 record.

Oh wait, isn't this the same team that hung the first loss ever on Cal South last January. Their wins must be because the other teams are missing players.

i'm sorry. i didn't mean for anyone to take it personally. i was just wondering if anyone noticed a difference in the rosters for the washington, colorado, cal north, and cal south because of the man u cup.

question for those in the know

who did all the scoring for Oregon?? Was it the Washington girls? I'd like to see Oregon's ODP program use OREGON players and develop them and not cherry pick Washington talent... Does Wa ODP use Oregon players?

I doubt any Oregon players wanna go up to Seattle or wherever the Washington ODP team practices. The Vancouver gals choose Oregon ODP because the practices are a lot closer (Salem vs. Seattle). Can't say that I blame em. I get what you're sayin though and I don't necessarily disagree. I just also get why some Washington gals come down here instead.

Also, Washington ODP only wants the Vancouver players after they've made the Regional Pool for Oregon. There have been several instances in the last few years where Vancouver kids HAVE tried out for Washington ODP and been cut, then tried out for Oregon ODP and made it, traveled to Regional Camp and are selected as holdovers from Oregon, and then the Washington ODP people track them down and convince them to come play for Washington.

This can not be true. If a player has a try-out for Washington ODP you are ineligable to try out for Oregon ODP and vise-versa. If you have specific names then you have a violation of state rules and Eric Lyso would be very interested.

I Washington they have scouts that pick the player to good tryout. So maybe they didn't get picked so they tryout in Oregon. People know you can't tryout in both states.
