The NSFW thorns played down all year so I'm sure they will continue to.

A lot of girls turned down spots?

          Thanks
Thornz play in the US Dept of Agriculture league? Who knew? Kinda makes sense though, given the number of heifers on their teams.

Yes, a fair number did turn down Thornz Asylum offers. No surprise.

I thought US Soccer wanted to go away from picking the big boot it thugs for the smaller more skilled players ala Mallory Pugh & Crystal Dunn.

Unfortunately, they had to cut hundreds and send them back to their local travel agent teams. Maybe next year.

So what? You make offers and some girls accept and some turn it down. It's very normal.

That is too bad. How disrespectful and rude to try out and not have any intent to stick around if selected.

Besides, most of the ECNL girls that were selected opted out of GDA to do ECNL again.
They were talking about the 99/00's who picked up 5 FC ECNL starters from their current 99 and 00 teams. None of these kids are going back to FC.

There is a lot of value in high school sports and representing your school and community. GDA missed the boat by banning high school. So it really isn't a great option.

A tryout goes both ways. They checked it out and thought the program sucked so they are staying with there current club. They paid their $125 tryout fee.

How is that disrespectful? It is worse to take $125 from a kid that you have no intention of taking on your team. Do the Thorns refund these kid's money?

Agree. It's like a job interview. After the interview, is the applicant disrespectful for not accepting a job offer? Nope.

Thorns like to announce and make public who was offered the job prior to the candidate accepting the job. That is way more disrespectful than the candidate who declined the job offer.

Nothing disrespectful about it. Lots go to tryouts to see who else is there. The FC ECNL girls went, saw, and never went back. Didn't want to play rec ball with rec players.
