How did Crossfire Oregon ECNL end up such a mess?

And will they be able to field competent teams this year? Or will there be Oregon ECNL teams who are at the same level as OYSA non-premier?

They are worse in many cases.

Coaches, director, poor management of players, lack of investment into the players, wasted games, poor development.

I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

Crossfire Oregon is worse in Oregon at these ages

      U13
      U14
      U15
      U17
      U18

Wouldn't even say they are top three in many cases.

I expect their 05s to be good again next year, but when they reach U14 and it's time to consider options like ECNL, GPS, or GDA--the team will break up, and the good players will go elsewhere. How long before THUSC pulls the plug on CU?

CU has an 05 ECNL team this year. Your critique has no Leggs.

several confirmed sightings of CU stalwarts at the FCP tryouts, CU may not be able to field 02, 03 and 04 teams. GDA out of the picture for now.

It's nice to see the GDA and FCP parents joining forces and agreeing on something. CU teams are just fine. If their kids are happy why do you care?

Several Thusc and CU kids at GDA tryouts last night. Expect same for older age groups.

Only 2 teams added to the mix from last year: Thorns GDA 03 and 04/05. Other than the 03 & 04 groups spread one team thinner, every other team is the same. Girls might move around within those same teams but it will be business as usual with the same old player pool. Find a good fit for your dd and be happy.

Trust me, CU has full rosters at these ages. The few rostered players from this year that did not make the cut for next year are likely the ones you are spotting at other tryouts as they are now looking for their new home/team. Both 02 and 03 age groups picked up some excellent players. Strong teams for 2017/2018.

Better call your coach again and find out who has actually signed, although he will probably spin it as having verbal commitments.

Strong compared to the Silver Falls classic program, for sure! Well done.
