Questions to all ECNL parents who have daughters riding the pine

Odd. A girl from our TA club left to join an ECNL team and she is now a starter. So you're saying the rosters are locked in and the starters are entitled? Because from where I stand it looks like she joined the team and earned a starting position that previously belonged to someone else. So which is it? You complain that the coaches "recruit" players to replace the current ones? Or you complain that the coaches have their entitled starters locked in? Because, as I'm sure you realize, those two statements are direct contradictions to each other.

Not the OP but can say KL is recruiting to replace a few starters. Those girls are in for a rude awakening this fall.

Be careful. It's too early to jump to conclusions as tryouts and the ECNL season haven't even started yet. Don't believe that the recruits will automatically replace the starters until it actually happens. We had the same belief you did until our daughter became the benchwarmer. But then again, who knows. KL was not able to handpick his teams this past year as he became DoC three months into the start of the new soccer year. It will be interesting to see if he has the ability to replace starters who have parents who he is friends with.

All of this doesn't erase the fact that he humiliates and singles out certain players.

The comparison I was making was between the dim-witted supporters of KL and the Hitler supporters - they cannot see any wrong and therefore glorify leaders who clearly have issues.

If that is the case, then why would these GPS phenoms move to a crappy CrossFire team that lost every game? Other posts also glorified MJ, so why leave a great coach like MJ? Something doesn't smell right....

I would be surprised is any of the GPS 03 Girls leave to join another Portland club. If any did, my guess would be for GDA. Just because they are being recruited, doesn't mean they will leave.

Why would a GPS 03 player chose Crossfire? Seems the least likely choice for a smart kid/good player? I get wanting to play better competition but that is the worst team and coach for next year. Seems strange.
