Untrue. Seattle Reign has also gone to GDA and no lousy ill-coached Oregon ECNL teams could ever compete against them either.

Top players committing to FC P & CU? Can you provide a list of names, just like a NLI?

Unlike the NLI where they could be getting as little as book money to attend, committing to CU and FC P cost them $10,000 for the year. No surprise if no names or list of commits ever appears prior to the DA tryouts.

Back it up with evidence now or spin it later.

In other words, you need people to stay with their ECNL teams and not let them decide what they want to do.

GDA is here and it is now the top tier choice for female soccer athletes just like Timbers DA Academy is for the boys. 00,01,02 girls already in their second or third year's of ECNL have already invested so much $$$ ($24k+) they will probably stay unless they aren't getting play time. 03,04,05 would be foolish not to move to the new top platform. ECNL will remain a viable yet expensive second tier option, just like ENPL is for boys.

ECNL is the proven path to college. Forty girls into college last year and thorns didn't report any

Will the NWSL still be around for much longer?

My daughter isn't going to college next year so I will hold off on her playing and paying for ECNL teams with losing records. It does not seem very enjoyable.

Top clubs across the US are sticking with ECNL.

ECNL has the top level competition is the US.

Thornz played Beaverton cup and bronze level tournaments.

For 25 years the only proven path to college for girls, is fact they played the sport prior to college. USYS leagues produced 100 fold more college players than the tiny US Club Soccer league has since it's inception. What was your point?

The top clubs will always provide the top level of competition across the great nation, that's how it works. Oregon has no top local clubs anymore, but Portland does have a pro DA youth development academy that's subsidized for boys and girls.

And yet the top clubs in the state, without question, don't have "Timbers" anywhere in their names.

So what happened to USYS? They must have been serving themselves and not their members as now 85%+ of all D1 soccer players come up through ECNL.

Thorns is a NEW GDA program and has had no games yet. League play begins fall 2017.
Corrected above for you. There will always be hangers on for ECNL over the next 12 months. In fact Crossfire and FC Portland are counting on it for income.

They won't move? I wouldn't be so sure of that now that the ECNL has institued "minimum fees." THe ECNL is now charging players $10,000 per year. This money goes directly to the league and not the club. In addition to that amount, clubs will now be charging between $2500 and $5000. Add travel expenses, uniforms, etc, on top of that and it will now cost $20,000+ per year to play in the ECNL.
