There's a reason why the Thornz have to off a cut rate - the GDA product, especially the Thornz, isn't very good. No one in their right mind would pay good money for the Thornz Academy.

Same players on u17 and u19 teams as this year. Same coaches. Still subsidized. Just playing in a different league & players can't play any other soccer or other sports. Current Thorns Academy players almost all staying on for GDA though so must've been happy with Academy this year. It's all good, just not really much different. Oregon soccer keeps chugging on the same, just like after Ecnl started.

My DD played under Chris Thurley years ago. Excellent coach. His focus is on the players so any parent wanting to communicate should keep their distance and let him do his job. I've seen players benched or cut if parents-not players, wanted to talk to him.
