Probably true but you get a cool patch that's says you are a thorn...

Almost as cool as the Ecnl acronym status that really didn't apply much to the Oregon Ecnl teams as they are doormats.

    Same crap.

Peregrine has revenue streams from the OYSA services they oversee spanned over a 10 year contract all checks are cashed to Peregrine for ODP, RTC, all state cup sanctioned leagues and all OYSA cups operate with little overhead to and produce huge profit margins as the clubs supply the needed capital to run all activities: free fields. Plus as an NWSL entity US Soccer will pump $$ to ensure they offer a product that costs the user pennies on the dollar and gets to the point where it's close to free. They do it for the Boys without US Soccer$$ and no return on investment. Strange huh.

Sucks to be CU or FC PDX these daze.

Really must suck since most likely the parents are successful and can afford to pay for soccer. Give me a break.

They can afford to pay for airline travel.

Soccer for the best is already paid for.

            What was your point?

....One year from now you will see a thread titled, $20,000.00 to play GDA. This doesn't include parent travel!

1). Thorns offers this low rate for as long as it takes to run both ECNL clubs into the ground. They subsidize during this time by raising fees to all OYSA teams.

2). The minute CU ECNL and FCP ECNL fold up shop, Thorns fees go up several hundred percent. They continue overcharging OYSA teams to further line their pockets.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

CU and FC have called it right on Timbers from day one - Timbers are dirty. Somehow they have gotten stronger by saying no to the Timbers.

                  They are the good guys.

                      Puppets....we are all just puppets!

The sad thing is by the time you realize it, it is too late.

We all can try and preach this to the parents with the younger kids, but the kool-aid tastes too good to them.

                      .....run.

Both groups are not in it for the kids.

On field Results and the lack of any coaching staff credentials tell the rest of the story.

It's like saying do you want to play for an insane treacherous dictator or street hustler spreading the aids virus.

The dictator has all the power so the street hustler is the good guy.

                        got it.

CU and FC Portland are the WORST.
Love soccer? Seek out the good coaches. Don't follow either of these dumbass clubs.

I am looking through the Timbers/Youth web pages, and I don't see any information about the Thorns 2017-2018 program. Where are you gettin the info about the coaching assignments/try-outs, etc? Do you have to be "special" to get one a list?

Do you have to pay or try-outs before they share any info with you?
